Learning to play guitar is now at an all time high. Much of this is due to the Guitar Hero video games. Guitar Hero has re-sparked the guitar enthusiast. Yes, Guitar Hero is a video game and yes, it is not the same as playing a real guitar. Guitar Hero does not teach you how play a guitar and the mechanics of the game are very different to a real guitar, but Guitar Hero will make you a better guitarist because it re-introduces some of the greatest guitar songs ever played. The more music a beginner guitarist is exposed to, the stronger that students’ musical output will be. Guitar Hero will make you a better guitarist because it exposes you to the rush of playing the guitar, the rush of accomplishing your goals, and the rush of maybe one day becoming the next Guitar Hero.
